The Renew Skin Clinic Holiday Must Haves

Victoria Hayes • 25 July 2024

The holiday season is well and truly underway and here's my top 2024 Summer Holiday Prep ideas and items to pack in your suitcase too!

Get a professional spray tan

No-one likes that first day of holiday where you’re the palest person by the pool. This is why many people now choose to fake tan before they go away. Arriving at your destination looking flawlessly bronzed will get your holiday off to the best possible start, making you feel confident in your beach and pool wear, leaving you with more time for sipping cocktails! And not forgetting to book in the gents.

BOOK YOUR SPRAY TAN HERE

Book a professional spray tan the day before you go on holiday. If you have any hair removal treatments, such as waxing booked before your holiday, you should allow a 24-hour rest before your

spray tan. This gives your skin time to settle, and you don’t risk getting an uneven tan if the solution settles in open pores.

How long your fake tan lasts when you are on holiday very much depends on the sort of activities that you have planned. A beach holiday with sea, sand and swimming pools will make your tan fade quicker. This is because the chlorine in the water or the salty sea water will cause a faster ‘fade-off’ of your tan, but taking a gradual tanner will keep the tan longer.

I use St Tropez tan costing £25 for a full body and either upper half or lower half a body £17.50 - this will take 30 minutes.

Lash & Brow Tints for the win

Get yourself a lash and brow tint.

Use brow make up? This is going to be a game changer for you by the pool or on the beach. Having the perfectly shaped and tinted brows despite the sweat and water which can seem a real chore.

This is why brow and lash tinting before the weather heats up or before you travel can cut down on the need to use makeup products. What a complete win!

I’d recommend having an eyebrow tint before your trip, which generally lasts about 3-6 weeks. They’re ideal for the summertime when we’re hotter and tend to sweat more.

A patch test is required 48 hrs before for beginners, and then I’ll work out the ideal shade for you depending on your skin's undertone, hair colour, and personal style. My Top Tip on  maximising your brow tint when you’re in the sun, use an SPF on your brows to prevent the sun from bleaching them, making it less likely to fade.

Book your lash and brow tint today for just £18.00 for a 30 minute
s treatment.

How will Micro-needling improve my skin and give me a smoother appearance?
by Victoria Hayes 15 November 2021
How will Micro-needling improve my skin and give me a smoother appearance? As a leading Facial Rejuvenation expert in the Cheshire area , I meet many people who have yet to hear about Micro Needling! Most of the common skin concerns I see in my Alsager Salon , mainly with my over 40 client’s is dull, ageing, dehydrated skin. People think to have a smoother, fresher and a more even-toned appearance, you need to have invasive facial surgery! Fear not my friend, I have the perfect non-invasive solution for you! To celebrate Healthy Skin Month in November, I am showing you the most amazing treatment from me at Alsager Beauty. There’s never been a better time to take care of your skin, but if you don’t want to go under the knife, what is the alternative? Let me introduce you to latest celebrity facial, the Rejuvapen Micro-needling treatment, AKA Collagen Stimulation Therapy . THE go to non invasive facial treatment right now. So Vicky, what the heck is CST? It's a pen-like device used to puncture the skin to create tiny holes (not visible to the naked eye) to stimulate a wound healing response. The action of the pen breaks up old collagen type 1 and forms new young and springy type 3 in its place. This wound healing response results in the body producing more collagen and elastin, (which we stop producing naturally at around the age of 35, boo!) when the body is in the healing stage. It also stimulates the reproduction of hyaluronic acid which is naturally found in the skin (which also depletes from 40+). This juicy little acid keeps everything hydrated and plump. So win-win! I've had 3 treatments and I can definitely tell the difference. I’ve noticed my skin looks and feels firmer and my pores on my cheeks have reduced. My clients have all commented on their own skin's improvement. I've also had great results in reducing pigmentation patches. Take a look for yourself!
